Watch: Ram Charan Jets off to Chennai for 'Game Changer' Shoot
Tollywood star Ram Charan has jetted off to Chennai for a crucial two-day filming schedule of his upcoming mega-budget political drama 'Game Changer'. Directed by Shankar, the highly-anticipated pan-India movie has been years in the making, facing multiple delays due to the director's prior commitments on Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' as well as personal events.
After wrapping the Hyderabad schedule recently, the 'Game Changer' team descended on the Tamil Nadu capital earlier this week to lens a couple of pivotal sequences. Eager fans and paparazzi caught a glimpse of Ram Charan at the Hyderabad airport as he boarded his flight to join the unit in Chennai.

'Game Changer' has already piqued immense interest, not just for its powerhouse lead pair of Ram Charan and Bollywood diva Kiara Advani, but also its stellar supporting cast. The ensemble features an array of talented actors like Anjali, SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Samuthirakani, and veteran Nassar in significant roles.
The movie's first single track 'Jaragandi', a thumping melody composed by Thaman S, was unveiled in March to mark Ram Charan's birthday. The song offered a tantalizing preview of Shankar's larger-than-life cinematic vision and visual extravagance that fans have come to expect.
Penned by 'Jigarthanda' fame Karthik Subbaraj, 'Game Changer' promises an engrossing tale of an upright IAS officer's solitary battle against a corrupt political establishment. The no-holds-barred drama comes from producer Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, marking their milestone 50th production.
With a staggering budget of over ₹300 crores, 'Game Changer' is one of the most expensive Indian films currently in the works. The makers are planning a grand release across multiple languages and territories in the latter half of 2024.
While Ram Charan's date with Chennai is brief this time, he has an exciting professional lineup ahead. He's already committed to 'RC16' with director Buchi Babu Sana, a village-based sports drama co-starring Janhvi Kapoor and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar. The 'Rangasthalam' actor will also reunite with Sukumar for another high-profile yet-untitled film tentatively called 'RC17'.
