'Vyooham' review
'Vyooham' is produced by Ramadootha Creations, RGC RV Group. It is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film's review is here:
Story:
Chief Minister VS Rajasekhar Reddy passes away in 2009 in a helicopter crash. His son VS Madhan Mohan Reddy (Ajmal Amir) embraks on a yatra to console the families of those who died upon hearing the death news. A conspiracy is hatched by his political rivals, especially Indra Babu Naidu, to drag him down. His wife Malathi Reddy (Manasa Radhakrishnan) gives her the fullest support in this endeavour. However, the machinations of his main opponent and a part-time politician named actor Shravan Kalyan are not easy to be overcome. Madhan rises above the tide and leads his party to a thumping victory in 2019.
Performances:
Ajmal Amir is known for 'Rangam'. He delivers a solid performance. He may not look like YS Jagan Mohan Reddy but his body language and sincerity are enough for the audience. The artists who played Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan are good. They are convincing throughout the film.
Analysis:
The film has been made by Ram Gopal Varma to convey his understanding of the AP politics following the demise of YSR in 2009. The names of parties and persons have been changed. But the film shows some real-life images, for example, of YSR. The Congress Party is called Bharath Party.
Recently, 'Yatra 2' was released with a similar storyline. But 'Vyooham' is more entertaining and political than that film. Some of the dialogues involving Indra Babu and Shravan Kalyan are hilarious.
RGV, one of the biggest supporters of Jagan, makes use of the songs pretty well. The drama is enhanced by the use of these songs, especially the song that comes in emotional moments.
Plus Points:
1. The treatment by RGV.
2. The second half.
3. The climax.
4. The bold dialogues.
5. The political theme.
Minus Points:
1. A bit slow. The story is familiar.
Verdict:
'Vyooham' makes for a pretty good watch. The film will surely impress the fans of the current regime. Jagan Mohan Reddy's wonderful ascension in the world of politics has been shown in the film.
