Veteran Actor Chandra Mohan Dies

Veteran actor Chandra Mohan passed away this morning at a private hospital in Hyderabad. His age was 82 years. According to reports, Chandra Mohan breathed his last at around 9.45 AM. He had been facing various age-related ailments. His blood sugar levels were shot up and he was reportedly on dialysis. He was also being treated for heart-related ailments. While his family and doctors expected that he would recover, his sudden death came as a shock to everyone. Chandra Mohan is survived by his wife Jalandhara and daughters Meenakshi and Madhavi. He is cousin to veteran filmmaker K Viswanath who had recently passed away.

Started his career in 1966 with Rangula Ratnam, Chandra Mohan acted as a brother to actress Vanisri in Sukha Dukhalu in 1968. He had received accolades for his role as brother and there was no looking back since then. He acted alongside top actresses of that era, including Jayaprada, Jayasuda. 

Chandra Mohan's last rites will be performed on 13th November on Monday. His family is in deep shock. Several Telugu film personalities and politicians expressed condolences to his untimely passing away.

AP Chief Minister Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over the passing away of veteran film star Chandra Mohan garu, who carved a niche for himself in numerous films working under great directors and production houses. CM Jagan conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
