Junior Artists Association Rake up Controversy Over MAA Elections, Deets Inside
Hyderabad: Junior Artists' Association leaders have asked that 'MAA' elections be held once fake voters are removed from the voter list. According to Ravinder Sankuri, Ramaveni, Ashok Bejwada, and others at the Jubilee Police Station on Friday, as many as 3,609 junior artists have the right to vote in the October 10 (Sunday) elections, but many claim they are not members of the union when they call those whose names are on the voter list, while others refuse to respond.
Swami Goud and Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar, have urged that Seshagiri Rao's nomination, which has nothing to do with the film business, be cancelled. According to the complaint, the junior artists' association demanded that the voter list should be updated and elections should be held immediately. A junior artist, SK Mallika, filed a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police, stating that information was posted on the notice board barely four days before the junior artiste union general meeting last September, without declaring the date of the October 10 elections.
They claimed that even when they asked for the records in the union, they were not delivered; when asked why, he received no response. According to the complaint, Seshagiri allegedly took roughly Rs 1.80 crore on the pretext of a 25 lakh card renewal, in violation of the bylaws, out of 1,600 cards from the Junior Artist Union. They demanded that junior artists be given the opportunity to investigate the truth by checking voter lists, ledgers, receipt books, minutes books, monthly income transactions, associate cardmembers, bank account details, and auditing details.
