CEO Dies in Freak Mishap In Ramoji Film City
Hyderabad: A US-based private firm CEO lost his life in a freak accident at Eenadu Chairman Cherukuri Ramoji Rao-led Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The incident occurred during the silver jubilee celebrations of US-based software firm Vistex when the company’s CEO Sanjay Shah (56) and Raju Datla (52), an executive of the same firm fell to the ground from a height of 20 feet and landed on the hard surface at the Limelight Garden venue.
In an attempt to pull out a Bollywood-style stunt at the company’s celebrations at the Film City, the event organisers asked the CEO and executive to enter an iron cage. The iron chain supporting the cage broke while the crew was lowering it and both the individuals received grievous injuries.
Due to the unavailability of an ambulance at the Ramoji Film City, the organisers had to wait for 20 minutes to shift the injured to the hospital. Sanjay succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment and Raju is stated to be in critical condition. Based on the complaint of company’s Executive Director K Janakiram Raju, the police have registered a case against the Film City event management firm.
