Tussle In Dubbak Threatens To Upset TRS Applecart
Dubbak TRS politics are getting murkier by each passing day. The constituency is all set to go for the bypolls caused by the sudden death of Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy. The election notification is likely to be issued in a fortnight.
But, the problem is that the TRS leadership wants to give the party ticket to Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy’s wife Sujatha so that the party can ride the sympathy wave and win the seat. But, a strong section of the TRS is strongly opposed to Solipeta family. Former MLA Cheruku Mutyam Reddy’s son Srinivasa Reddy is quite determined to contest the bypoll.
In the event of the party not giving ticket to him, he is all set to join some other party and contest the election. Reddy has already indicated this to the party leadership. He is already conducting election campaign with his supporters. He is also helping the needy in the constituency in the name of the trust he formed after his mother. Significantly, Solipeta’s images are missing from the banners and posters. If Srinivas Reddy too contests the elections, things would be very difficult to Solipeta Sujatha. The party leadership is now working hard to convince Reddy to withdraw from the post.
