TSCHE To Ignore Inter Marks, Consider Only EAMCET Score For Ranks

 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has removed the 25% weightage for Intermediate marks in Telangana State EAMCET 2021, and the ranks will be decided based solely on the entrance exam score.

The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has removed the 25% weightage for Intermediate marks in TS EAMCET 2021. The officials have taken a final decision regarding this in a meeting that happened on April 15th.

As per the previous years' pattern, 75% weightage is given to the TS EAMCET score and 25% weightage for MPC/ Bi.PC marks in order to determine the state-level rank of the entrance exam. This year (2021), however, the rank will be decided solely on the basis of marks scored in Telangana State EAMCET 2021.

The move comes after the Telangana state government announced that it has canceled the first-year intermediate exams and postponed second-year intermediate exams, and also decided to cancel intermediate weightage marks for EAMCET 2021.

Around 1,99,019 students who failed in the Intermediate first-year exams conducted last year, will benefit from this as they will be promoted too. The decision has been taken as the government decided to promote all the intermediate students without exams. Telangana State officials shared that the same pattern will be followed for the upcoming year also.
