Telangana Polls: BRS to Unveil Job Calendar on THIS Day
Hyderabad: With an eye on upcoming Telangana polls, the BRS party announced that if voted to power the party will release a job calendar for the government job aspirants the very next day after the announcement of assembly election results. Telangana will go to polls on November 30 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
The BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) held a press meet at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan on Sunday. Speaking to reporters, KTR said the party will unveil the job calendar at Ashok Nagar in the city on December 4.
Taking a swipe at Rahul Gandhi over the number of jobs provided in Telangana vis-a-vis Karnataka, KTR claimed that the BRS government in Telangana has filled 16,000 jobs on an average per year during the last 10 years, while the Congress-led government in United Andhra Pradesh has only filled 1,000 jobs annually during its 10 years rule in the state.
He has called upon the BRS party cadre and people to observe Deeksha Diwas on November 29. To press the demand for a separate Telangana state, the party chief (then TRS) K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) had sat on the hunger strike on November 29, 2009 at Rangadhampally Crossroads in Alaganur village near Siddipet. KTR also urged the party workers to celebrate the day by hoisting party flags on their houses and take part in social service programmes.
