Telangana: Lt Colonel VVB Reddy laid to rest with full military honours in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

Hyderabad: Lt Colonel VVB Reddy was laid to rest with full military honours on Saturday. The cremation took place at his native village Bommala Ramaram of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The 41-year-old Lt Colonel Reddy and his co-pilot Major Jayanth were killed when a Cheetah helicopter of the Army crashed near Mandala in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday morning. 

The mortal remains of Lt Colonel Reddy were kept at his residence in Malkajgiri in Hyderabad for the people to pay their last respects. The Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande laid a wreath and paid homage to the departed army man. Earlier in the day, the Army chief had conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family at Lt Colonel Reddy’s residence in Hyderabad.
