Telangana High Court Issues Notice To CM KCR, Here’s Why?

HYDERABAD: Telangana High Court on Thursday has issued notices to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in connection with the allocation of government land for the construction of Hyderabad TRS party unit office in Banjara Hills.

The Telangana High Court was hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by a retired employee Maheshwar Raj. In the petition Maheshwar Raj stated that the state government allocated land measuring 4935 square yards in NBT nagar, Road No. 12, Banjara Hills for the construction of TRS party Hyderabad unit office for a lower price of Rs 100 per square yard only. The value of the property reportedly ranges between Rs 100 cr to Rs 140 crore. 

He also mentioned in the petition that the government also allotted land to build the TRS party offices in all 33 districts including Hyderabad for cheaper prices. 

After hearing the petition, the high court issued notices to TRS  party president K Chandrashekhar Rao, General Secretary Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, CCLA and Hyderabad district collector L Sharman and directed to file counter petition within four days.
