Telangana: Harish Rao Hits Back After PM Modi Targeted BRS at Warangal Rally

 - Sakshi Post

Medak: Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Saturday hit back at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his comments against the BRS party and the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at a public rally in Warangal.

Harish Rao said that the visiting leaders from both the BJP and Congress have made it a habit to criticize KCR. He said that it is ironic that on one hand the BJP-led Central government appreciates the work of Telangana government and they find fault with the state government when they visit the state.

Speaking to the reporters in Medak, the Finance Minister said that it seems the leaders from BJP and Congress have no other work but to target the chief minister KCR. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi and now PM Modi criticized the BRS leader.

He accused the Modi government of copying the schemes being implemented by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Raising the demand for pending funds for Telangana, Rao said the Prime Minister is claiming that the Centre has provided funds to the state government while the fact is the funds have been withheld.

The minister added that the Centre reportedly stalled Rs 21,000 crore funds due to be given to Telangana because the state government did not install smart meters to the agriculture pump sets. He also claimed that the Centre is dependent on the agencies like ED and CBI while the BRS government has the unwavering support of its people.
