Telangana Cop Looks After 3-month-old Baby of Group 4 Exam Candidate, Wins Hearts
Hyderabad: A Telangana police woman has won the hearts of many for taking care of a baby outside the TS Public Service Commission Group IV exam centre in Thorrur village of Mahabubabad on Saturday.
A young couple Jagga Lal and Sabitha and a woman had come to the exam centre with their 3-month-old baby. The young mother Sabitha entered the exam hall after handing her baby to her mother. The baby remained calm for some time but later started crying loudly. The grandmother tried her best to keep the baby calm, but the baby was continuously crying.
As the grandmother was unable to handle the baby, a police woman Srilatha posted at the exam centre came forward and offered to take care of the baby. She sang a lullaby and put the baby to sleep.
The TSPSC had arranged 10 exam centres in the Thorrur municipality and many candidates had come with their kids to the exam centre. The police officials posted at these exam centres showed their friendly policing side and offered biscuits and water to these kids during the exam period.
The Commission conducted the Group IV exam to fill in 8,180 posts. The exam consisted of two papers: Paper 1 General Studies (10 am to 12.30 pm) and Paper 2, Secretarial Abilities (2.30 pm to 5 pm.). A total of 9.51 lakh candidates, who had applied for the recruitment exam, took the test at 2,878 examination centres across the Telugu state.
