Telangana BJP a Divided House? BJP Takes Cognizance

 - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The affairs in Telangana BJP may seem all hunky-dory but if you scratch the surface you’ll see the saffron party is divided into two camps. Former state party chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar has earlier stated that he does not have any issue with other seniors in the party. However, the differences seem to exist between Bandi Sanjay and former BRS minister Eatala Rajender.

Recently, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Hyderabad and held a state-level meeting with the party members to chalk out a strategy for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Even though the saffron party’s tally and vote share increased in the recently concluded Telangana Assembly elections, the party leadership is not satisfied with the outcome.

The BJP’s national leadership is not happy with the differences in its state party unit as Bandi Sanjay and Eatala Rajender do not seem to be working as a team. The saffron party leaders' lack of cooperation has apparently unsettled the high command.

The General Elections are fast approaching and the Telangana BJP is still a divided house. There are allegations that the state BJP leadership has failed to counsel the warring groups within the party and work as a united force. It is said senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Laxman has confined himself to the press meets and no major leader is seen on the ground or making an effort to boost the party’s electoral prospects.

Amit Shah has often encouraged the party’s senior leaders to visit each other’s house for meetings and put up a united face, however, the senior leader’s advice is not being taken seriously. It is said the party leaders are coming together only when the national leaders visit the state. It remains to be seen if the party high command takes this issue seriously as the country is going for parliamentary polls soon.
