Telangana Announces Intermediate Examination Results
The much-awaited Telangana Intermediate results were announced on Wednesday, April 24 with a pass percentage of 60% for the first year and 64% for the second year. The results were released at 11 am at the Inter Board office in Nampally by Principal Secretary Education Burra Venkatesham and Board Secretary Shruti Ojha.
A total of 9,80,978 candidates appeared for the Intermediate examinations in Telangana, with 4,78,527 students taking the first-year exams and 4,43,993 students appearing for the second-year examinations.
In the first year of TSBIE exams, girls continued to outshine boys with a pass percentage of 68.35%, while boys achieved 55.5%. This trend of girls performing better than boys persisted. Moving on to the second year, girls maintained their lead with a pass percentage of 72.5%, compared to boys' 56.1%. Once again, girls outperformed boys in the second-year results.
For the second year, there was an increase in the pass percentage from the previous year: 2023: 67.27% and 2024: 69.46%. However, in the first year, the pass percentage showed a decline from 2023 to 2024: 2023: 63.85% and 2024: 61.06%.
The Intermediate exams were held from February 28 to March 18, followed by the evaluation of examination papers. The process of online marking, coding, and decoding was completed before the results were released after obtaining permission from the Election Commission.
Students and parents had eagerly awaited the announcement of the results, which hold significant importance for higher education prospects.
