Revanth Rushes To Delhi, To Discuss New Telangana CM!
TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, the front-runner for the new Telangana Chief Minister's post, has rushed to Delhi. Revanth reportedly got a call from the top brass of the Congress party to attend a meeting to discuss the new CM. Revanth, who had been staying at a private hotel along with the MLAs for the last few days, jetted to Delhi. He is going to the Shamshabad airport and will catch a flight to Delhi from there.
A press conference is likely to be conducted by Congress senior leader and political observer KC Venugopal to brief the situation.
Notably, a group of devoted supporters of Revanth Reddy organized a demonstration outside the hotel where recently-elected Congress MLAs are staying.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the delay in appointing Revanth Reddy as the chief minister, they sat in protest in front of the private hotel, chanting slogans such as 'Revanth CM.' A few protesters even attempted self-immolation, but law enforcement acted promptly to prevent them and removed them from the scene.
