Rajnath Singh Meets Prabhas, Consoles Krishnam Raju's Family - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD:Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke as the chief guest at Krishnam Raju's condolence meeting organized  on Friday evening under the auspices of Kshatriya Seva Samiti. The condolence meeting was held at the JRC Convention in Jubilee Hills which was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who was the chief guest, Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and also several BJP leaders and film celebrities associated with the late actor.

A popular Telugu actor Uppalapati Venkata Krishna Raju who was also a former Union Minister of State for Defence and External Affairs and died due to cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at AIG Hospitals in Gachibowli here in the early hours of Sunday due to post-COVID complications.

Defence Minister  Rajnath Singh said that the death of Krishnam Raju is a huge loss for the film industry. He recalled that Krishnam Raju was a dear friend and always spoke with warmth. He recollected his association with the actor and that he had met him for the first time in 1998 in Delhi when he was elected as a Member of Parliament.

Speaking on the occasion Kishan Reddy said that the death of veteran actor Krishnam Raju was a huge loss for the BJP. He said that after getting the news of Kirshnam Raju’s death, Rajnath Singh asked for Prabhas’ number and spoke to him on the phone. He said that despite talking to him he felt a vacuum and decided to come to Hyderabad and meet his family member, the Minister shared. 
Krishnam Raju promised to come to Bhimavaram for the inauguration of Alluri Sitharama Raju’s statue. We had made arrangements for his medical treatment in London, but he could not go due to COVID. Krishnam Raju was a man with a pure heart, he praised.

Earlier Rajnath Singh visited veteran actor Krishnam Raju’s house at Jubilee Hills here and consoled Prabhas and Krishnam Raju's family members.
