Covid JN 1 Variant: Telangana Records Mild Rise in Infection
Four new Coronavirus cases have been registered in Telangana. The number of COVID 19 active cases has been rising for the past few days. The surge is only mild.
Health authorities and medical experts have urged the public to follow the COVID protocols such as masking up. There is a chance for a new variant named JN.1 to spread fast.
Flu cases have been on the rise rapidly because of the winter season. The new variant JN. 1 has created panic among the public in this context. As a result, many individuals are getting themselves tested for COVID-19. On Tuesday, 402 people were tested for Covid in Telangana. Four of them tested positive.
The new variant is not that dangerous and life-threatening. However, experts have asked everyone to be careful and vigilant. The incidence of cases might go up around the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The state medical team was alerted by a recent advisory from the Centre. They are tracing suspected cases who have been to Kerala in general and Sabarimala in particular. On the other hand, the health department is making all the arrangements. For example, it has arranged 50 beds in Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad and Warangal MGM Hospital.
