MLA Raghunandan Rao Rejects Reports of Raising Banner of Revolt Against Telangana BJP
New Delhi: Amid the continuing internal turmoil in the Telangana BJP, another leader has raised the banner of revolt against the party leadership. The saffron party MLA from Dubbak assembly constituency M Raghunandan Rao said he’s being sidelined in the party.
Addressing the media persons in the national capital on Monday, Raghunandan Rao demanded the central BJP high command to give him a greater responsibility in the state party affairs.
“The BJP leadership can consider me for any of the three posts in the state unit – Telangana BJP chief, Floor Leader or the national executive membership. Why can’t they make me the party chief? Is this how the party is run? My caste may be a hindrance but I am actively working for the party for the last 10 years. I am confident of winning the Dubbak seat once again,” Raghunandan Rao told reporters.
The BJP leader said he did not receive much support from the party leadership during the Dubbak assembly election campaign. Raghunandan Rao said he has no intention to leave the saffron party and will continue to work to strengthen the party base, however, he is hoping for a bigger post this time.

Notably, senior BJP leader and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has categorically said there would not be any change in party guard in Telangana.
