KTR's First Reaction On Congress Victory
Hyderabad: Conceding defeat in the Telangana Assembly elections, the Telangana minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the ‘party will bounce back’. He said the election results were not on expected lines for the party.
Taking to X, KTR congratulated the Congress party on ‘winning the mandate’ and said he is not saddened over the result but disappointed.
The BRS party has ruled since the formation of Telangana in 2014. The party was hoping to return to power for the third time, however, the wave of ‘disillusionment’ with the current party leaders and unfulfilled employment promises appear to have dealt a major blow to the party’s prospects in the state polls.
Grateful to the people of Telangana for giving @BRSparty two consecutive terms of Government 🙏
Not saddened over the result today, but surely disappointed as it was not in expected lines for us. But we will take this in our stride as a learning and will bounce back…

Days before the elections, the BRS leadership promised a job calendar for government job recruitment and tried to hardsell the party as the formidable force in Telangana. However, a strong Congress wave routed the pink party in the elections.
