KTR Dares BJP To Compete With TRS in Development
The Telangana Municipal Administration and IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) came down heavily on BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar. The Minister said, “Sanjay Kumar is known only for hurling abuses at Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and playing the religious sentiment.”
The minister accompanied by Zilla Parishad chairperson Nelakonda Aruna, MLA Rasamai Balakishan and MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao participated in several developmental activities in Illanthakunta Mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Monday.
Rama Rao asked, “Has MP got any funds for the development of his constituency?” KTR said the BJP leaders, instead of provoking people in the name of religion and resorting to mud-slinging, should, in fact, involve themselves in a healthy competition with the TRS in developmental works and bring funds from the Union government.
However, KTR said that the state government is getting ready to sanction a 30-bed hospital at the Mandal headquarters of Illanthakunta and laying of the four-lane road from Siddipet to Illanthakunta and also double-lane works till Jillela check post.
ABVP and Congress activists tried to picket the convoy of the minister, demanding that the state government fulfil the promise of setting up a 30- bed hospital in Illanthakunta and fill all vacant government posts. They were taken into custody by the cops.
A heated argument took place between the leaders of TRS and ABVP outside the police station, which led to a clash. Two cars parked at the police station were damaged in the clash. The police intervened and brought the situation under control.
Earlier, the Minister along with Manakondur legislator Rasamayi Balakishan inaugurated Rythu Vedhika, Weekly market, Mahila Samakya building, Tahsildar officer and PACS paddy procurement centre. ZP chairperson N Aruna, Collector D Krishna Bhaskar and others were also present.
