KCR Resigns, Revanth Reddy's Swearing-in Tomorrow?
Hyderabad: After the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) suffered a major blow in the Telangana Assembly elections, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao will submit his resignation to the Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan soon.
The outgoing chief minister is expected to address a press conference after the resignation in the evening. As per sources, the Congress Legislative Party meeting will likely to be held on tonight and Revanth Reddy is expected to take oath of office and secrecy tomorrow. Speaking to media earlier today, Revanth promised to rename the Pragathi Bhavan as 'Dr BR Ambedkar Praja Bhavan'.
Congress chief Revanth Reddy led Congress to victory for the first time since the formation of Telangana state. The Congress party has crossed the magic mark of 60 seats in the counting of votes after it won 64 seats while the BRS was leading in 4 seats after it won 35 seats. The BJP had won 8 seats while AIMIM had won 5 seats and was leading in 2 seats.
