 - Sakshi Post

Farmers from Kamareddy district filed a writ petition in Telangana High Court on Saturday against the state government proposed  industrial zone master plan.

The farmers approached the High Court challenging the declaration of the land as a recreational zone without consulting them. The case is likely to come up for hearing on Monday.

Farmers said that the master plan has been drafted only to distress them and that they are ready to knock on the doors of the Supreme Court if necessary.

Farmers observed bandh called by the farmers joint action committee in the districts. Protests followed in the evening with Congress and BJP leaders joining the protests at Kamareddy Collectorate. The farmers and police clashed with farmers raising slogans against the police and the district collector.
