Hyderabad Police Pass Rules Ahead of New Year Celebrations
Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad, Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, has issued an order to several three-star and five-star restaurants, clubs and bars in Hyderabad, asking them to take prior police permission for New Year celebrations.
The top cop has also passed a strict rule that New Year parties should be held only till 1 A.M.
Anyone not adhering to the time limits and abiding by the rules enforced by the police department will be penalized or punished. Restaurant managers have been asked to arrange CCTVs at the entry and exit gates of venues. Vigilance has to be strict even in parking places.
No weapons shall be allowed at any event. Organizers have been instructed not to issue passes, tickets and coupons beyond capacity. Minors are strictly not allowed in prohibited venues.
Drugs are strictly banned in all places. Owners who fail to follow the above-mentioned guidelines will be fined under the law.
Alcohol shouldn't be sold beyond a certain period as enforced by the Excise Department. The event organizers should arrange drivers and cab facilities for customers who may not be in a position to drive by themselves due to alcohol consumption. Motorists who get caught in drunk and drive tests will be liable for imprisonment of up to six months. Also, their licenses shall be cancelled.
