Hyderabad: Income Tax Sleuths Raid on Residences of 2 Old City Businessmen
Hyderabad: After politicians, the Income Tax officials have now turned their focus on businessmen in Hyderabad. The I-T officials conducted raids on the residences of two prominent businessmen in the old city of Hyderabad on Saturday.
In a pre-dawn search operation, the raids were carried out on the premises of Shahnawaz, who reportedly owns a chain of function halls and is into real estate business. At the same time, the income tax officials also raised the residence of the chairman of Kohinoor Group of companies Majeed Khan.
The I-T sleuths conducted the raids after receiving a tip-off that a large amount of money was being collected for a political party ahead of November 30 polls in the state.
Earlier, the I-T officials searched the house of a former advisor of the ruling BRS government. The raid was carried out in the Jubilee Hills area on Friday night.
