Later, the abductors demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh to release the GST officers. The senior officers of DGGI approached the Saroornagar police station for immediate assistance and the police quickly responded to their call and they intercepted the offenders’ vehicle in which they were taking the officers and rescued them.
