Hyd Police Commissioner Conducts Surprise Checks, Borabanda SHO Transferred

Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya conducted a surprise inspection at Borabanda Police Station on Tuesday. The top cop asked the Circle Inspector (Station House Officer) Ravi Kumar to show him the record books of rowdy sheeters in the police station limits. 

Sandeep Shandilya asked the Borabanda Station House Officer Ravi Kumar to share the details about the rowdy sheeters who were booked under his jurisdiction. Kumar’s inadequate response angered the City Police Commissioner and he censured the police officer for not doing his job properly and immediately transferred him and attached him to the Police Commissioner’s office. 

Ahead of Telangana Assembly polls, the City Police Commissioner is conducting surprise inspections at various police stations including SR Nagar and Madhura Nagar police stations. During his surprise check at Borabanda police station, he found Ravi Kumar of dereliction of duty and therefore immediately ordered his transfer. 

Earlier in the day, a murder took place in SR Nagar police station limits. A rowdy sheeter Shareef allegedly murdered Tarun Naik over some personal enmity. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said as state elections are approaching the police personnel need to step up their vigil and be on alert.
