Etela Quits Huzurabad MLA Post

Former Telangana Health Minister Etela Rajender was sacked and dropped from the state cabinet on May 1st over the land grabbing allegations. On June 4th, Etela resigned from Telangana Rashtra Samithi party and today, he submitted his resignation for the MLA post. He met speaker today and submitted his resignation as Huzurabad MLA.

According to the reports, Etela is going to Delhi today evening and would don saffron robe on 14th of this month in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda. It is learned that along with Etela, Enugu Ravinder Reddy, Ramesh Rathode, Tula Uma and few other supporters of Etela would join BJP. It is also said that RTC JAC leader E Ashwathama Reddy would join the saffron party soon.

Bharatiya Janata Party National General Secretary and the Incharge of Telangana unit, Tarun Chugh on Friday indicated that Etela Rajender would be joining the BJP soon. Speaking to ANI, he said that people are willing to join BJP and it was a fight against the dictatorial, nepotistic politics and corrupt governance of Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Etela Rajender is one of the active participants of the separate Telangana statehood movement. He denied the land grabbing allegations and said that it was an attempt to tarnish his image. He also said that he was not afraid of any investigation and also demanded an inquiry by a judge.
