Covid Among Kids, Hyderabad Hospitals See A Spike in Cases
Although the country began vaccinating youngsters between the ages of 15 and 18 against COVID-19 on January 3, there is still a large number of children under the age of 18 who are infected with Covid-19 third wave, especially with Omicron. Hyderabad Hospitals are reportedly witnessing a surge of Covid 19 cases among children, as per a news report. The hospital official says that in the past 10 days the cases of children with cold, cough, fever and respiratory issues have increased.
Officials say that people who are infected with the Omicron variant are recovering faster than the delta variant of COVID 19. They also warned people against relaxing as the Omicron variant is milder since it is only the beginning and that the worst is yet to come.
Newborn babies who are not even exposed out are being infected with virus from parents or outsiders who visit them. Officials have urged patients to get the 'S' gene COVID-19 test, which identifies not just Covid but also variations. Because the Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19 that are now available in the population are treated differently.
