 - Sakshi Post

With Lok Sabha elections approaching fast, it is likely a few faces from the opposition BRS will switch loyalties to the ruling Congress.in Telangana.

BRS chief and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conducted a meeting of the party leaders at Telangana Bhavan on Monday. However, Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkatrao skipped the meeting.

The BRS leader’s absence from the party meeting has given further momentum to the rumours that he is going to join the Congress party soon. Incidentally, he’s the lone BRS MLA from undivided Khammam assembly constituency.

A day earlier, the BRS MLA met the Congress chief minister Revanth Reddy which had sparked speculations that Tellam may jump ship. Speaking to the reports, he dismissed the speculations of his changing the party. He said the meeting with Reddy was only to seek funds for developmental works in his constituency.

Previously, when KTR led a team of party legislators for the inspection of Medigadda barrage of Kaleswaram project, Tellam did not join them. Tellam had earlier joined the Congress party along with former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and later returned into the BRS fold.
