In the recent state polls, BJP’s two sitting MLAs and three MPs bit the dust. Eatala Rajender and Raghunandan Rao lost their respective Huzurabad and Dubbaka seats to BRS rivals and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Nizamabad MP Arvind Dharmapuri and Adilabad MP Soyam Bapu Rao were also defeated by the BRS candidates. It’s worth mentioning here that the BJP won four out of 17 seats from Telangana in the 2019 general elections and the party is looking to improve its tally in the upcoming elections.
