Amid Dissent Within Telangana Unit, BJP Calls Bandi Sanjay to Delhi
Hyderabad: Amid internal feud within the Telangana unit over the leadership issue, the BJP High Command has called the state BJP chief and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar to the national capital. According to sources, the beleaguered BJP leader may travel to New Delhi either tomorrow or a day later.
Reports suggest all is not well within the BJP unit in Telangana as a group of key leaders have reportedly raised a banner of revolt against Bandi Sanjay. It is said some party leaders want a change in the state leadership and they have given an ultimatum to the party’s leadership to replace Bandi Sanjay Kumar with the party MLA Eatala Rajendar.
Rajendar is currently in the national capital to discuss the leadership change in the Telangana party unit. It is said the BJP MLA Rajendar may jump ship if he is not made the state BJP chief. The dissident leaders are apparently not happy with Sanjay’s leadership as the saffron party has failed to make its base strong in the State. With the State Assembly elections fast approaching and after losing power in Karnataka state, the BJP cannot afford the infighting in its Telangana unit.
