 - Sakshi Post

The Japanese two-wheeler company Yamaha Motors has launched the  FZ-X in India, a neo-retro bike based on the FZ 150cc series. The bike is available in two variants – one with and another without Bluetooth connectivity. The ex-showroom price of the new FZ-X starts at Rs 1.16 lakh.

The company has listed the official accessories for the motorcycle. While the bike will be available in showrooms later this month, the accessories are expected to reach a bit later. This bike is available in three colours- Matte Copper, Matte Black and Metallic Blue.

The latest FZ-X has many features like Bluetooth connectivity to connect a smartphone, which displays SMS, incoming call alerts and battery status. Besides this, it comes with regular mirrors. However, there are optional chrome ones to give it a distinct look. These are priced at Rs 800 for a set.

There are also the LED indicators which are expensive. Yamaha dealers charge Rs 1,490 for a set of two and for this vehicle, one will need a total of four blinkers. Yamaha says that these blinkers consume less power, but lasts much longer.

The Yamaha FZ-X is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder engine with an air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It works with a 5-speed gearbox system and produces 12bhp (brake horsepower) at 7250 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm.

There is also the leg guard in the front that costs Rs 800. Yamaha calls it the engine guard and this one will save the tank as well as the engine in the case of a minor fall.

The original seat cover for the bike will cost Rs 300 and one can choose the colour based on their vehicle’s colour. An extra Rs 400 will get you a genuine Yamaha bike parking cover. This one is available in white and has the Yamaha lettering on it.
