Virat Kohli Immortalized in Jaipur Wax Museum
The Nahargarh Jaipur Wax Museum is set to unveil a new wax statue of renowned cricketer and former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, on World Heritage Day, April 18th.
The decision to immortalize Kohli in wax was prompted by numerous requests from visitors, especially children and young people, who admire the cricket star. "Last year, there was a demand to make a statue of Virat Kohli from tourists, especially kids and youth who are crazy about the Delhi opener," said Anup Srivastava, the Founder-Director of the Jaipur Wax Museum.
The intricate wax statue, meticulously sculpted over about two months by artisans Ganesh and Lakshmi, stands at 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 35 kilograms. The statue captures Kohli's commanding presence on the cricket field, with the attire designed by Bollywood designer Bodh Singh.
Srivastava disclosed that Kohli's wax statue will be the 44th addition to the museum's prestigious collection, housed within the historic walls of a nearly 300-year-old fort.
Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the chance to admire the wax tribute to one of India's cricketing icons, a testament to Kohli's legacy both and off the field.
