Tokyo Olympics: Kazakhstan Wrestler Bites Ravi Kumar Dahiya in Semis, Watch Video

TOKYO 2020: Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya ensured at least a silver medal on Wednesday (August 4) by defeating Kazakhstan's Nurislam Sanayev in the semifinals and advancing to the gold medal final in the 57kg category. With the victory, Dahiya became only the second Indian wrestler after Sushil Kumar in the 2012 London Olympics to reach the Olympics final.
However, on the way to his historic victory, Ravikumar suffered a vicious and severe bite on his arm. When Ravikumar was trying to pin down Sanayev in the final seconds of the semi-final match, the Kazakhstan wrestler bit him on the arm, and the images went viral.

Dahiya will now face Russia's Zaur Uguev in the final on Thursday (August 5), with the possibility of becoming India's second-ever individual gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, following Abhinav Bindra in 2008.
