The BCCI confirmed on Monday that India's speed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ICC T20 World Cup owing to a stress fracture. Bumrah's absence would undoubtedly hurt India's chances in the flagship event in Australia. The BCCI was awaiting medical findings as the pacer rehabbed at the National Cricket Academy, but it was clear he would be sidelined for months.
While the BCCI will soon announce a replacement for Bumrah for the premier competition, one of Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar will be called up. Umran Malik of Jammu and Kashmir is anticipated to be added to the standby list.
As soon as the formal announcement out, Indian cricket fans flocked to Twitter to show their displeasure with the BCCI's poor workload management. but a section of people was trolling Jasprit Bumrah that he will be fit and he will not miss any IPL match for Mumbai Indians.
It is worth noting that. Bumrah has played 5 games in three formats apart from 14 games for Mumbai Indians in IPL.
Here are the reactions:
