Neymar Injury Update: Brazil Skipper To Miss Next Group Matches

Brazil skipper Neymar will miss the next FIFA World Cup group games against Switzerland and Cameroon after incurring an ankle ligament injury. Brazil leads Group G and will play Switzerland next on Monday. Rodrigo Lasmar, the team doctor, announced that Neymar and Danilo will miss the game.

Neymar, who has had difficulties with his right foot and ankle for numerous years, was forced to leave the game in the 80th minute after colliding with Nikola Milenkovic. He was afterward seen in tears on the bench, and pictures of his swollen ankle began to spread on social media following the game.

"It's crucial to stay calm; an examination will be performed every day so we can have more information and make the best decisions," Lasmar said

"Neymar's recovery time was not specified by Lasmar. He stated defender Danilo, who has a left ankle injury, was in the same boat as Neymar and will miss the game against Switzerland. Neymar was being treated at the team's hotel on Friday after being injured in Brazil's opening 2-0 win over Serbia," added Lasmar
