Is Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out Of T20 World Cup 2022?
T20 World Cup 2022: Bad news for Team India is that star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022 owing to a stress fracture. According to reports, he did not go with the squad to Thiruvananthapuram, where the first T20I between India and South Africa took place, and has been ruled out of the series. There will be no surgery, but Bumrah will need 4-6 months to recuperate from the injury, according to reports
Due to a back ailment, Bumrah already missed the Asia Cup 2022 tournament. He recovered for around a month at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru before being named for the T20Is against Australia. He did not play in the first T20I in Mohali, but he did participate in the second
"Jasprit Bumrah complained of back pain during India's practice session on Tuesday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him. He is ruled out of the first #INDvSA T20I," the BCCI announced in a statement.
For some time now, the fast bowler has been suffering from back spasms and has undergone rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. He was announced fit before the T20I series against Australia at home. If the reports were true it will be surely a big blow for team India ahead of T20 World Cup. However, BCCI has yet to give an update on Jasprit Bumrah's fitness
