HCA Infighting Behind BCCI Excluding Hyderabad For International Matches Venue?

 - Sakshi Post

The Indian cricket team had a hectic schedule from November to June of next year. The country will host 21 international matches. India will play series against New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, and  South Africa.

But the point is that the BCCI had not assigned any series to Hyderabad. In fact, the BCCI had selected smaller cities such as Ranchi, Rajot, Dharmasala, and Jaipur.

Hyderabad is the oldest member of the BCCI, having staged the inaugural Test match in the 1950s. Perhaps the board made this extreme step in light of the current infighting in the HCA between President Mohammed Azharuddin and other Apex Council members. As a result, the administration is confused and uncertain. Even the most recent pick of the Hyderabad under-19 team caused debate, with allegations of bias leveled.

Beginning November 19, India and New Zealand will play three T20s and two Tests. In February, the series between India and West Indies will play three T20s and three ODIs. In February-March, India will host two Tests and three T20s against Sri Lanka, while South Africa will visit India in June for five T20s.

PR Man Singh, a veteran administrator, and former secretary described the situation as "sad." "Even under policy rotation, HCA should have been assigned one of the matches.  The HCA should send a firm letter to the BCCI. It is past time for all groups to put aside their differences, or else we will face a similar situation in the future, "he added.
