Parliament Ruckus: Rahul Gandhi Leads Opposition Protests

 - Sakshi Post

Many Opposition leaders from 15 parties marched from Parliament to Vijay Chowk, continuing demonstrations and protests against the Central government over the Monsoon Session, which was marred by agitation. The protest was led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who has been at the forefront of these protests for months now.

Gandhi shared that the opposition leaders spoke on various matters. We wanted to raise many issues but were not allowed to speak in Parliament. There are many concerns that we would want an answer for, like the farm laws issue, Pegasus project, fuel prices, and others. As we were barred from speaking in the Parliament, we will speak in front of our people, in front of media, said the Congress leader.

He further shared that the MPs were even attacked in Parliament. The MPs were mobbed by few outside men and the Chairman did nothing. Gandhi added that this is the death of Democracy. He called out the center for the irregular and disrupted Monsoon Session Parliament proceedings.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut went on to say that he felt as if he was standing on the Pakistani border rather than in the Parliament. The outsiders even trashed women MPs.  On Thursday, Samajwadi Party leaders were also present at the protest.

Women MPs said that they were treated horribly. Few outsiders that looked like marshals came in and attacked them during the session at Rajya Sabha.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, on the other hand, denied all these claims and said that the opposition leaders are making false allegations. If one wishes to, they can go and watch the CCTV footage and get the proof.

The opposition has been raising their voice against the centre in matters concerning farmers' protest, Pegasus spyware, Covid19 in India, and other issues in the country. Earlier Rahul Gandhi joined the farmers' protest with a tractor rally. He said that the center is not listening to the farmers and are making things difficult for them. These farmers have been protesting for so long and the center refused to listen to their plea.
