KTR Files Defamation Case Against Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD: KT Rama Rao Minister for Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology and Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), and TRS Working President has filed a  defamation suit against Malkajgri MP and TPCC Chief Anumula Revanth Reddy for making allegations and asking  KTR to take a drug test. Revanth Reddy also accused and tried to falsely link KTR with the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against allegations of drug and psychotropic substances abuse by certain accused. He is also said to have accused KTR having links with a few accused who are part of the investigation are being examined by the ED .

The TRS Minister has sought a declaration that such false statements made by the TPCC Chief are slanderous, libelous and constitute defamatory. The Minister has also sought for instituting Criminal Proceedings and sought for payment of compensatory damages.

Replying to Revanth Reddy's tweet, KTR reminded him over a cash-for-vote scam. "I am ready for any test and will travel to AIIMS Delhi if Rahul Gandhi is willing to join. It's below my dignity to do it with Cherlapally jail alumni. If I take the test & get a clean chit, will you apologize & quit your posts? Are you ready for a lie detector test on #Note4Vote," tweeted KTR.

To which Revanth Reddy said that he is ready for the lie detector test along with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. "Indicate time and place @KTRTRS for lie detector test along with KCR on CBI cases on corruption charges in Sahara Provident Fund and ESI hospital construction scandals. #WhiteChallenge," alleged Revanth Reddy.

Following this KTR replied that he had filed for a legal process & filed a suit for defamation and injunction for the lies spread against him.

Today I have invoked the legal process & filed a suit for defamation and injunction before the Hon’ble court

I am confident that the Court process will clinchingly vindicate the falsity of the canards& lies spread against me and the culprits will be brought to book appropriately
