Pinarayi Vijayan 'compromising' on cases against opposition leaders: Kerala BJP chief

 - Sakshi Post

Thiruvananthapuram, June 25 (IANS) BJP's Kerala state unit President K. Surendran on Sunday claimed that the present case against his Congress counterpart K. Sudhakaran will not reach anywhere as the CPI-M-led Pinarayi Vijayan government was entering into a compromises with the opposition leaders.

Interacting with reporters here, the BJP leader said that there were criminal cases against Leader of Opposition V.D. Satheeshan, Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, Muslim League leaders and former ministers P.K. Kunhalikutty and V.K. Ibrahimkunju but the Chief Minister had reached a compromise with both parties.

Surendran said that the state police had registered a case against Sudhakaran based on the deposition of his driver, but alleged that the case would not progress further as the CPI-M and the Chief Minister were entering into a political compromise with the Congress and the United Democratic Front.

He said that police have all the digital evidence of Sudhakaran having taken money but the ruling Left Democratic Front and the opposition UDF are compromising with each other and hence the police would not proceed with the case.

He said that Vijayan was only using blackmail techniques against Congress leaders and entering into compromises. He also said that the state government has been hounding the BJP leaders and the police had tried to frame him in many issues but did not have any proof.

The BJP leader also said that the arrival of party's national President J.P. Nadda in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday will bring in a big boost to the morale of the party cadres and leaders. Surendran said that  Nadda will inaugurate the ninth-year celebrations of the Narendra Modi government here on Monday and  will also meet community leaders and have discussions with them.

The Kerala BJP is reeling under several issues and the party has lost even the single seat it had won in the Kerala Assembly during the 2021 Assembly polls. The party is expecting a few seats in the next assembly elections, but the possibility is bleak.
