'Kadak Singh' is thrilling throughout: Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu
'Kadak Singh' is all set to stream on OTT platform from December 8. It tells the story of AK Shrivastav (played by Pankaj Tripathi), a quirky patient in a hospital with retrograde amnesia. "As he tries to separate fact from fiction, he also finds out the reason behind his condition," the makers say.
Also starring Sanjana Sanghi, Jaya Ahsan, Dilip Shankar, Paresh Pahuja, and Varun Buddhadev, the show has Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu as a nurse. Here is our exclusive interview with her:
And coming to Kadak Singh, how did you feel about working with a big actor like Pankaj Tripathi?
He is really such an amazing actor. I feel so blessed to work with such a great actor. We have so many combination scenes together in the movie. I learnt a lot from him.
We have seen a poster of you in the costume of a nurse. Could you please tell us about your role in Kadak Singh?
As of now, I can just tell you that my name is Ms. Anna in the movie. Yes, she is a nurse. The rest is something the viewers have to explore for themselves by watching the show on Zee5 on December 8th. I promise it's going to be a really interesting character. And the scenes between me and Pankaj have a lot of variety to them. You will enjoy them for sure.
What’s the movie about?
In the trailer and all the posters that have come out so far, you can see that it's a crime thriller. That said, I can say it's going to be more than that. Everyone will enjoy it thoroughly.
How is it working with the National Award winner Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury?
He is really such an amazing guide. His support and guidance made me feel so warm. I must say it's like a big warm hug for everyone to work with him. He creates such a joyful work environment around everyone.
Why not a theatrical release? Why have the makers opted for digital release?
I think I am not the right person to answer this. My producers must have definitely thought about it in detail. If it has to reach each and every corner in a big way, OTT platforms are the best. Our movie will reach lakhs of people through one platform.
Do you think there is no life for theatres?
It's never like that, and it is never going to be the case. OTTs and theatres together can create a sustainable environment for movie lovers. People can access their favourite movies from anywhere on OTT and definitely nothing can beat the big screens when it comes to other aspects.
Tell us about your upcoming projects, particularly Thangalaan. What can we expect from your character in Vikram's movie?
There is so much coming and even I am eagerly waiting for the movie to come out.
Your favourite moments from the sets of Kadak Singh?
Everyday is my favourite day. I used to rush like anything to go to sets and get to work with these amazing actors around me. We have a safe and playful environment throughout our shooting. This shooting is especially beyond the line of joy and excitement for me. One thing I like the most from the sets is sharing food. We used to have different kinds of food in all our lunch boxes and we used to share it everyday. That was my favourite thing to do everyday on the sets.
