3 Die After Consuming Surgical Spirit Unable To Afford Liquor In Vizag
VISAKHAPATNAM: A fun party turned tragic for four after the friends consumed surgical spirit allegedly unable to afford liquor at Kasimkota in Visakhapatnam district. While three died, another one is critically ill.
The four partied together at a house late on Saturday night at Kaspa village in Kasimkota mandal, sub-inspector Himagiri said to a daily.
The four consumed the spirit unable to afford liquor, police suspects. One of their friends who was present at the party had not consumed the spirit.
The deceased have been identified as K Anand (41), Nookaraju (65) and Govinda Rao (45). Another one V Manikyam is undergoing treatment at the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam. While two were auto-drivers, one was a lorry cleaner and one was a daily wage labourer, the leading daily reported.
Kasimkota police have registered a case and probe is underway.
