IndiGo Flight Misses Exitway Upon Landing, Requires Towing to Parking Bay

 - Sakshi Post

An IndiGo flight, operating as flight 6E 2221 from Amritsar to Delhi, encountered a navigation issue upon landing at Delhi Airport on Sunday morning. Low visibility conditions led the aircraft to miss its intended exit taxiway, resulting in a temporary halt on the runway. Subsequently, assistance from a tug was required to tow the aircraft to the parking bay. The incident caused a brief runway blockage, leading to delays for other flights scheduled to depart or arrive.

In response to inquiries, an IndiGo spokesperson emphasized the airline's dedication to operational safety and expressed regret for any inconvenience experienced by passengers. The flight, which departed from Amritsar at 7:20 am, eventually landed in Delhi at 8:35 am, albeit with an unexpected delay caused by the navigation mishap.
