New Delhi: In the aftermath of the drone assault on the Jammu airbase, security officials have intercepted many fake calls to the military made by Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI.

Security agencies have issued an alert, according to intelligence sources, due to an increase in the number of fake calls being made to Indian security personnel from Pakistan. According to the reports, Pakistan's ISI has been considering boosting the frequency of these fake calls to Indian security force sites by impersonating top military officers. These calls come from different numbers with only a few traces.

According to sources, the increased frequency of such calls following the drone threats in the western area has alarmed security officials. Security agencies had previously reported such operations, and the headquarters had sent alerts to the agencies, according to intelligence sources.

In light of the forthcoming Independence Day festivities, security agencies have been urged to be on the lookout for these fake calls and to take appropriate precautions to avoid the transmission of any sensitive information.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level conference on June 29 to examine growing security risks such as drones.
