I-Day celebrations 2024: When and how to watch PM Modi’s speech

Independence Day celebrations: India is set to celebrate its Independence Day on Thursday, August 15. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the tricolour at 7:30 am to mark the 78th Independence Day and deliver a customary speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort in the national capital. 

Traditionally, the Independence Day celebrations will be aired on national broadcaster Doordarshan TV. In addition to these, the events of the national festival will be streamed on the Press Information Bureau (PIB) YouTube channel and other social media platforms like X via @PIB_India and the PMO Twitter account.
