Good News: India Records Lowest COVID Cases
For the second time this month, the number of COVID cases in India has plunged to 2 lakh cases. According to the Union Health Minister, the total tally of COVID-19 cases are 2,75,55,457 on Friday. The number of active cases has dropped to 23,43,152, comprising 8.50 percent of the total infections. While the national Covid-19 recovery rate has risen to 90.34 percent.
According to the data, the number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 2,48,93,410, while the fatality rate has increased to 1.16 percent.
Last year on August 7, India's Covid-19 tally overtook 20 lakh,
-30 lakh on August 23,
-40 lakh on September 5, and
-50 lakh on September 16. It crossed the
-60 lakh mark on September 28, the
-70 lakh mark on October 11, the
-80 lakh mark on October 29, the
-90 lakh mark on November 20, and the
-One-crore mark on December 19.
On May 4, 2021, India's COVID-19 tally crossed the 2 crore mark.
