Delhi: Huge Consignment of Oxygen Concentrators Arrive From China
In the midst of India's Covid-19 crisis, the largest-ever single consignment of oxygen concentrators arrived in New Delhi on Sunday afternoon, setting a new record. A Boeing 747-400 wide-body aircraft delivered more than 3,600 oxygen concentrators weighing approximately 100 tonnes from Hangzhou Airport in China. The jumbo charter landed at Delhi airport at 3:18 pm on Sunday, said Jaspreet Singh, National Sales Head at Bollore Logistics India.
This import was carried out by Bollore Logistics India, a multinational transport and logistics company. They overcame complex logistical challenges by collaborating with the Indian Embassy in Beijing to put the plan in place. India is facing the second wave of COVID-19 and the demand for all the medical supplies including oxygen concentrators surges is high. This huge consignment will cater to the demand in Delhi NCR as well as other badly affected cities in north India.
