College ID Cannot Be Age Proof for Vaccination on Co-Win

 - Sakshi Post

Now that the Covid19 vaccination for kids between the ages of 15-18 has started, many are trying to upload their college ID as proof on the Co-WIN portal, but that is getting declined. The app was not accepting ID from the educational institute as proof, shared a BBMP vaccination team from a government PU college in Varthur.

It created confusion as the civic body had earlier made an announcement wherein they said that college ID will be allowed as an ID proof but now the portal is declining it.

To avoid any further issues, the BBMP vaccination team has asked the students to come only with their Aadhaar cards. The principal of PU College was also asked to send the kids with the Aadhaar, informed Dr. Aditi Lokhande Sangewar, from the BBMP’s mobile vaccination team.

Dr. Sangewar's team had brought 1,000 Covaxin doses to the institution in order to vaccinate 1,184 first- and second-year PU students. The BBMP had instructed the college principal, Dr. S C Kodandaramaiah, to let the beneficiaries book a vaccination session using the cell phone number of their parents.
