Bank Holidays in July 2021: The month of July is a day away, and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the dates when public and private banking services will be closed.
People who work in the banking services or who need to visit a bank during the month of July should be aware that banking operations will be closed for a total of 9 days, barring the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.
It is important to remember, however, that online banking services will be available on holidays as well. In addition, banking operations and holidays may vary by state and bank.
Here is the list of bank holidays in July:
1. 12 July 2021: On Monday, July 12, 2021, banks will be closed due to the Kang (Rathajatra)/Ratha Yatra.
2. 13 July 2021: Due to Bhanu Jayanti, banks will be closed on Tuesday, July 13th.
3. 14 July 2021: Due to Drukpa Tshechi, banks will remain closed on Wednesday, July 14.
4. 16 July 2021: Banks will remain closed on Friday, July 16 due to the Harela.
5. 17 July 2021: Due to the eve U Tirot Sing Day/Kharchi Puja, banks will remain closed on Saturday, July 17.
6. 19 July 2021: Banks will remain shut on July 19, Monday because of Guru Rimpoche’s Thungkar Tshechu.
7. 20 July 2021: Due to the occasion of Bakrid, banks will remain closed on July 20, Tuesday.
8. July 21, 2021: Bakri Id (Id-Ul-Zuha) (Eid-UI-Adha) will be observed on July 21, Wednesday, causing banking services to be closed.
9. 31 July 2021: Banks will remain closed on July 31, Saturday due to Ker Puja.
Apart from these holidays, banks will be closed on July 4th (Sunday), July 10th (Second Saturday), July 11th (Sunday), July 18th (Sunday), July 24th (Fourth Saturday), and July 25th (Sunday).
Due to the holidays, bank customers will be unable to withdraw or deposit funds at bank branches. During these days, however, ATMs, mobile banking, and internet banking services will be available.
